Kidimbarimba
2007
Custom designed for Kids' Korner in Tarkio, MO.
Spring 2007

The Kidimbarimba is a very mixed up instrument. It incorporates our Amandinda design on one half and a similar design on the other. The other half is an octave lower and has the benefit of resonators.

22 notes. C pentatonic alternating from the middle of each section.

The name is derived from 'Kidimba', a name for a xylophone from Congo (Dem. Rep.) of the Baluba tribe. More information on traditional African Marimbas, Xylophones, and Balafons can be found Marimbalafon
